HTC India has launched the Desire 10 Pro smartphone in the market at a price of Rs. 26,490. The new HTC Desire 10 Pro will be available in the market starting December 15 across all channels. The company, which is celebrating 10 years in India, said it would launch its latest smartphone – the HTC 10 evo – in the country by the end of December.
The HTC Desire 10 Pro was launched globally alongside the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle. Like its sibling, the new Desire 10 Pro smartphone comes with a premium-looking design and matte body in a range of colours (Valentine Lux, Stone Black, Royal Blue, and Polar White) and a gold trim, apart from BoomSound stereo speakers. The more basic variant, the Desire 10 Lifestyle, was launched in India at Rs. 15,990 back in September.
While the HTC Desire 10 Pro was launched globally in two variants – 3GB of RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage and 4GB of RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage – HTC is only bringing the latter variant to India. The dual-SIM (Nano-SIM) Desire 10 Pro sports a fingerprint sensor, and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s Sense UI on top.
The Desire 10 Pro sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixel) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 400ppi and Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. As for optics, the Desire 10 Pro bears a 20-megapixel rear camera with laser autofocus, a BSI sensor, an f/2.2 aperture, and Auto HDR mode. It also sports a 13-megapixel front-facing camera with a BSI sensor, an f/2.2 aperture, and Auto HDR. The inbuilt storage on board the smartphone is expandable via microSD card (up to 2TB).
The connectivity options on the Desire 10 Pro include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, NFC, and 4G LTE Cat. 6 (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). It is powered by a 3000mAh battery that’s rated to deliver up to 19 hours of talk time on 3G networks. It measures 156.5x76x7.86mm and weighs 165 grams.
