Moreover, the main Cortana feed has now been moved apart to a new Interests section, while a new Upcoming section keeps a track of upcoming events and related things. This new tab bifurcation is somewhat similar to Google’s Explore tab.

The Cortana’s Play store app listing mentions that the new update also includes ‘hands-free calling and texting’, in addition to the aforementioned improvements. There is also ‘quick hands-on control’ of the reminders that you set in Cortana, which can also be moved to the top-right corner in the app. While the new features aim at making Cortana more accessible and ubiquitous, the app’s changelog also does mention Cortana’s end of support for the Microsoft Band 2 with this update on the Android platform.
