Drivojoy raises Rs4 crore from IAN, others

On-demand two-wheeler repair platform Drivojoy on Wednesday said it has raised Rs.4 crore from the Indian Angel Network (IAN). Others who participated in the round include TracxnLabs, an early-stage fund run by Tracxn, a company which tracks start-ups; Shailesh Rao, vice-president, international operation, of Twitter Inc.; Kunal Shah, founder of Freecharge; Bhavani Rana, partner at Amadeus Capital; and Deepak Gupta, co-founder at EquityCrest. The Bengaluru-based firm launched services in August 2015 and claims to service 400 motorcycles a month. It has so far served 2,000 users. Priyanka Sahay

Endless Robotics raises $100,000 in seed funding

Endless Robotics Pvt. Ltd, a start-up that makes products for automated painting in the construction and real estate industries, has raised $100,000 in pre-series funding from angel investors on deal-making platform Termsheet.io, the company said on Wednesday. The funds will be used by the Hyderabad-based company for product development, hiring talent, training service personnel and piloting the service. Endless Robotics provides a service that uses robotics to make spray paint technology effective and bring greater efficiency to construction and real estate projects. Sadhana Chathurvedula

IAN, Chennai Angels invest $250,000 SP Robotics

Angel network groups Indian Angel Network (IAN) and Chennai Angels have invested $250,000 in Chennai-based start-up SP Robotics Works Pvt. Ltd, a skill development company that trains school and college students in robotics education. Angel investor Nagaraja Prakasam, who has invested in 16 start-ups, led the round on behalf of the Indian Angel Network and will take a seat on the board of SP Robotics. Investment from the angel round will be primarily used for growth and expansion of the company. Kidobotikz will design a digital version of its courseware to inspire new students. The digital product will be introduced initially in Chennai over the next few months and will be gradually launched in other markets in South India.
