At the recently held Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016, we not just saw some of the most spectacular collections of chic clothes on the ramp but we also were introduced to stunning make-up and illuminating looks that were created by Lakme Fashion Week hair and make-up experts Daniel Bauer, Namrata Soni and Natasha Nischol for the models. Some of the shows had some mesmerizing colour combinations on the runway and the make-up experts spun their magic to further enhance the looks. Gorgeous hair-styles and make-up combinations ruled the runway, all five days. We rounded up a few looks for you that had left the audience in awe during the week.

Lined perfection Natasha created this for Amrich, Swati Vijaivargie & Debashri Samanta. This look is clean and stark, for which we have taken the graphic lines and put it just above the eye socket. The skin is clean and sculpted with a matte finish and some nude colour has been patted on lips. Youthful and angelic Natasha created this look for Gaurang. This is a very dewy and angelic look that is pretty, young and fresh. So the make-up artists have illuminated skin with soft cheeks and there is a sheen on the eyes. For the first segment of the show, some of the girls had rose-bud lips colour while the second segment, the girls had lip stains. HIghlighted eyes Namrata Soni created this one for ‘India Collective’. For this look a combination of black and gold was used. Both designers for whom the makeup was created, had an amazing collection and the make-up professionals wanted to give a cool edge to the black liner by adding a touch of gold. One of them used metallic gold undertones while the other was deep black. Black and gold make up illuminated and matched the designer’s inspirations. Grungy glamorous Natasha created this look for designer Anand Kabra. This glamorous look is what the make-up artist created was termed deconstructed glamour by her. An edgy, grungy look – this was inspired by shades of smoke. These are sexy textures that don’t get created very often, she states. Illuminated beauty Lakme Fashion Week Hair and Make Up expert Namrata Soni created this look for ‘Rajesh Pratap Singh, Pero by Aneeth Arora, Hemant Agrawal, Anupama Bose & Asif Shaikh. This look was created especially for the designer to get an ethereal feel. It was luminous as the make-up artists highlighted the looks with a lot of beautiful shimmer on the eyes to make the girls look fresh and ethereal. The hair was gelled back. Eyebrow shimmer Namrata Soni created this for the ‘Gen-Next Show’. These were fun and quirky looks that were created for the debutant young Gen Next designers. In each look one feature was highlighted – winged eyeliners, a dash of colour, shimmery blues under eyebrows…complementing a collection that was youthful and very modern.
