The Sennheiser HDB 630 has been launched in India, offering authentic audiophile sound through wireless technology

A few months after its global release, the Sennheiser HDB 630 has now arrived in India. The headphones were launched on Friday with a price tag of Rs 44,990. While this may seem somewhat high, it is justified given the promises made by the HDB 630. Essentially, it aims to provide the ultimate experience in the audio realm, offering superior sound quality in a wireless format. To enhance the offer, Sennheiser is also providing complimentary Accentum Open earbuds valued at Rs 12,990 to customers who pre-order the HDB 630.

Considering all that the Sennheiser HDB 630 has to offer, it is clearly designed for audiophiles or anyone seeking a richer and more immersive music experience. In other words, it caters to those who desire, as Sennheiser puts it, “uncompromising, high-fidelity sound wherever they go.”

The standout feature of the Sennheiser HDB 630 is its use of the BTD 700 Hi-Res Bluetooth dongle, a USB-C accessory that guarantees 24-bit and 96 kHz high-resolution playback, regardless of the device paired with the headphones. Furthermore, the HDB 630 has been meticulously engineered to provide exceptional sound quality. Sennheiser claims it features neutral tuning, refined mids, and expansive treble, which together create a natural soundstage that remains faithful to the original recording of the music.

The Sennheiser HDB 630 features a newly designed transducer with an optimized magnet mesh and acoustic back volume, which guarantees cleaner bass, smoother mids, and airy treble. This results in a realistic midrange, impressive detail, and an expansive soundstage, providing a lifelike listening experience, even in a closed-back configuration.

During the introduction of the headphones in India, Saahil Kumar, the general manager of Sonova Consumer Hearing, stated, “The HDB 630 redefines what wireless audiophile sound can be. It combines Sennheiser’s acoustic craftsmanship, advanced tuning, and enduring comfort – enabling listeners to experience authentic sound fidelity wherever life leads them.”

Recently, even in India, we have begun to observe audio brands launching products that strive to replicate premium sound — a quality that audiophiles previously enjoyed with wired headphones like the iconic Sennheiser HD600 — now available in wireless formats.

Typically, wireless headphones excel in active noise cancellation and bass-enhanced sound, yet they often disappoint in terms of overall sound quality. Due to technological constraints, they frequently deliver sound that is indistinct and seldom engaging or expansive. Previously, we witnessed JBL introducing some of its sound-centric products, particularly the JBL Tour One M3 and JBL Tour Pro 3, to the Indian market. Now, Sennheiser is presenting the HDB 630. Although these products are priced higher than standard wireless headphones, many audiophiles may find the additional cost justifiable.
