The late IAS officer, whose birthday is October 22, made important
contributions to the Special Component Plan and other Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe projects. He was a hopeful man. He gave them hope again. He battled poverty and injustice. He dedicated his life to the benefit of Scheduled Tribes (STs) and Scheduled Castes (SCs), actively participating in the creation of pro-poor government policies. Born on October 22, 1934, S R Sankaran was an officer in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) who died on October 7, 2010. He was one of those individuals who subtly have a lasting impact on the social justice movement. People are inspired and motivated by these individuals' unwavering dedication to theSankaran's methodical and considerate attitude to problem-solving as SKA's chairperson enhanced the movement. His leadership of the "Samajik Parivartan Yatra" (March for Social Change), which was essential in advancing the cause, was a vivid example of this. He inspired the current administration to create policies that would benefit the scavenger community by using his administrative expertise.
