Bengaluru: Gingercrush.com (operated by Swadesh Essfil Private Ltd) on Friday said it raised seed funding in an investment round led by Saha Fund, a venture fund for women entrepreneurs, to scale up its platform.

Ankita Vashistha, the founder of Saha Fund, joined its board of directors.

T.V. Mohandas Pai’s family office, Zia Mody, Mumbai Angels, Ananda Kallugadde, Rakesh Desai and Rakesh Malhotra also participated in the round. Pranav Pai, son of Mohandas Pai, has joined the advisory board of the firm.

“Our aim is to make branded product customisation the most looked up industry in India. To support us in our venture, we feel privileged to have Ankita and Pranav in our team, and we’re sure that the experience and background they come with will prove to be an asset for the organisation and to the industry,” said Saumya Nidhi, chief operating officer, Gingercrush, in a statement.

“The merchandising and product customisation arena is the next big thing after mainstream retail in India. We hope to break through the barriers of competition in the road ahead,” Nidhi added.

“By balancing the need for an enjoyable and personalised experience on the consumer side, while focusing on quality and reliability on the brands’ side, Gingercrush has delivered a product customisation platform that respects what this domain is really about,” said Pranav Pai.
